Online Reading Volunteers Study
Research on online tutoring by corporate volunteers
Research on the online volunteer program conducted in US schools demonstrated that students who received at least 20 sessions gained more than three reading levels than students who received less than 5 sessions. 97% of teachers believed the program benefited their students and 89% thought it was very or highly beneficial.

The online volunteer program is designed to support literacy learning. The program targets grade 1 and grade 2 students that teachers deem will achieve reading proficiency by the end of the school year with the additional support and practice the volunteer provides.
